"Thanks so much for your assistance with this project. Everything is looking great. I'm sure all the improvements will help in our effort to sell the property. It has been a great experience getting to work with you and seeing the design process first hand."
Cayetano, Vancouver, WA

I have to say that I absolutely love the time and detail you put into your plans. We get spoiled when working off of your plans compared to working with some other designers' plans. Thank you for that!."
Stacey Werner, Tryon Creek Landscape, Inc., Portland, OR

Seasons Garden Design uses a typical landscape design process, but is flexible with each client. Not every project is the same, so the process is tailored to YOU.

iNFORMATION-GATHERING (site survey) & BASE PLAN
Base PlanThe process of design begins with gathering information from you. We provide a questionnaire that helps you. We will ask you a lot of questions (designers are trained to be curious), measure and photograph your property in order to prepare a base plan. We use this plan to review site issues. It is the underlying basis for the design.

CONCEPT PLAN
Concept plan The concept plan is an accumulation of your garden problems and dreams and my design ideas and solutions. The plan shows existing areas to remain, new hardscape (that’s paving, decks, fences, water features, etc.), proposed garden furnishings, tree and shrub locations and planted borders. We meet as a team to discuss the plan and estimated costs, then decide which ideas and solutions you prefer. If you'd like a perspective sketch included, I will include one in the design proposal. The goal is to help you understand the character of your new garden. Because we use the computer for drafting, it is easy to convey plans back and forth via email during this phase.

ideas.

MASTER PLAN
Master plan
The master plan shows the final design, to scale, and is based on your approved concept plan. It locates all hardscape, furnishings, and plants. It documents everything you approved during the concept plan meeting so you have an overall permanent record of the design. We can provide as many hard copies as you wish and/or digital copies.
