Brief speaker's bio (updated 4-20-10):
Vanessa Gardner Nagel, APLD, is an award-winning, eco-conscious garden designer, author of 'Understanding Garden Design', and the owner of Seasons Garden Design LLC. She learned to love plants from her grandfather. Her mother taught her to weed while she was still young and close to the ground. Vanessa is a certified member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and the 2010 Oregon Chapter past-president. While still a commercial interior designer, she designed projects across the USA and throughout the world. With post-graduate studies in landscape design and 30 years of design experience she speaks passionately and knowledgeably about garden design and gardening. Vanessa carries a shovel (and knows how to use it), and is still weeding in her own garden, Dragonfly Hollow.
